Wendy (Siwei) He

Wendy is a Ph.D. student in the applied social psychology program with a research focus on intergroup relations within linguistic contexts. Drawing on social identity theory and uncertainty identity theory, her research examines how self-uncertainty influences perceptions and evaluations of linguistic group members. She is passionate about exploring the intersections of language, identity, and social dynamics. In addition to her work on social identity, Wendy consulted survey design and reviewed empirical survey articles for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She is interested in pursuing a career in academia.
